Plaza Singapura..or PS as we youngsters would normally refer it to. Its one of the malls in Singapore that is not exactly huge, yet never fails to attract crowds hour. This is probably because of the fact that the mall stands in between two mrt lines, alot of office spaces, and an en-route to orchard road-city hall.
A typical Singaporean mall, PS boasts an entire basement area with food stalls. Japanese,Korean,American..u name it they got it. The top floor is an ever crowded weekend spot for cinema-goers. (an arcade hardcores) In between, electronic stores galore, fashion outlets everywhere, cd shops, a carrefour supermarket and even a Times bookstore.
PS is a place for everyone. I find it filled with students, aunties, uncles, grannies, maids, working adults, ang mohs and at times.. celebrities. The main draw about PS is that it holds so much of a variety within the mall. You can't get sick of it. (unless you work there..perhaps)
I would recommend Plaza Singapura as a stop if you ever decide on watching a movie, chilling for a coffee, or looking for something cheap at Carrefour.. simply because, you would most likely end up leaving the mall with more things than you initially wanted to buy. (unless you're the kind that leaves the wallet with your grandma)
However, to be fair. i'd have to say that i got utterly disappointed with the fact that... THERE IS NO TOILET ON LEVEL ONE ! I had to rush to the 2nd level to get to the toilet to relief myself and by the time i got there, the cubicles are all closed and there were a few good men standing in queue outside the cubicles with excruciating red faces and locked arses! For a while, i thought i had to get tickets.
Nevertheless, PS is still one of my favourite malls in town for its variety of shopping ideas :)

Since Plaza Singapura has been revamped there are more shops and eating places.Let's start from the top there is Golden village. It's always crowed be it a weekday or weekend there's always a long queue for tickets.I am one of those who like to catch their surprise screening there cos you don't know what movie is being screened.
Their foodcourt has the famous Fried fish and it sure is delicious the milk is the soup is just right and the fish is soft and fresh.Right at the corner there's this store that sells barbeque food. The ayam pagang is nice too!You require some patience as many people goes there to eat that particular dish.
They have gelare, secret recipe, swensens, thai express etc..So indeed PS is a shopping centre that actually house many variety of eating places and shopping.
For shopping there's all time megamart Carrefour.Going to carrefour i frequent visit the electronics section, food selection like the pastries and snacks corner. There's Daiso too where everythings goes at $2. For ladies there's Dorothy Perkins,La Senza,Chomel etc..
I've recently discovered a food paradise at basement 2.For those who likes to eat ice desserts there's a new shop named Ice monster(if i'm not wrong),they sell ice,ice cream coated with mango, kiwi and strawberry with milk. It's really nice. I've yet to try the other small stores will be going there soon to taste them. There's lots of finger food which really smell and look nice.
If you've somehow run out of ideas of what to eat you should check out the basement and I'm sure with the wide spread of choices there' bound to have one that will satisfy your taste bud.
Don't forget if you are a Capitaland car holder.Charge all your payments on your master and the rebates they offer you can use it to offset the balance of your payment.
Check out Plaza Singapura this weekend and shop till you drop and eat till you can't walk!!

This must be my most-est favorite shopping malls out of so many in Singapore! Located right in the center of the train system (SMRT and NEL at Dhoby Ghout Station), getting to Plaza Singapura (or for short PS) is so easy and fast!
This 7-storey high shopping mall is packed with all the most sort after shops and labels. You'll sure be able to find whatever you want within PS! Wide range of fashion labels, eating places, electronic stores, IT gadgets, mobile phones, DIY shops and so much more! You name it, you'll find it!
Why PS is the place for families... just sharing some of the reasons...
For Mothers/Housewives: You have the biggest supermarket, Carrefour, for all your groceries and daily neccessities. Need a message to soothe all the aches and pain, well, you have Osim, OTO and Ogawa under the same roof. And how can we miss the irrissitable and friendly $2 shop, Daiso!
For Guys/Husbands/Fathers: Looking for electronics? Go to Best Denki. Looking for mobile phones? Motorola, Starhub, Singtel ans Samsun is there. Looking for gadgets? Creative and Pacific City to fill your IT senses.
For kids/children: Lego for the builder-in-you. Or read a book at Times Bookstore.
For teens/young adults:Movies, games, food, fashion, music, and so much more! In fact, everything in PS is so hip and cool, you'll love just being in the building!
So what are you waiting for? Go shop at Plaza Singapura today!
