1 Review for “Rasa Jakarta ” - Eating Places

A congratulatory wreath announcing this newly opened stall's arrival caught my eye, and I tried the bakso sapi sup (beefball soup). For $3.50, I got five somewhat elongated beefballs in a bowl of beehoon soup, plus some sambal.
The beefballs were nice and chewy, and the soup tasty enough, so for a light meal, this serves its purpose well. I've never been to Jakarta though (or even eaten this anywhere else in Singapore) so I can't comment on the authenticity of this dish.
The nasi ayam penyet (smashed fried chicken) looked rather more popular, so perhaps I'll give that a try the next time. Coming up next (so says their signboard): gado-gado.
