Ricciotti's Irresistable Tuesdays 1-for-1 Pizzas Promo
On Tuesdays, Ricciotti has a 1-for-1 pizza promotion for lunch. It works out to about 20 bucks for each person, inclusive of appetisers and dessert! How's that for value?
Please note that 1 pizza to share between 2 to 3 persons was more than sufficient.
1) Pizzotto ($22.50), a decadent medley of bacon, mushrooms, pomodoro, mozzarella cheese and a slighty runny egg on top. This was easily the most popular pizza around.
2) Crudo ($25.50), with rucola, parma ham, pomodoro and mozzarella cheese. The saltiness of the parma ham was balanced out by the crisp and slightly bitter rucola.
3) Gamberi E Funghi ($22.50), with prawns, mushrooms, pomodoro and mozzarella cheese. Also one of my faves.
4) Salame Piccante ($21.50), with spicy salami, pomodoro and mozzarella cheese. This was also very good, but a little plain.
5) Margherita ($17.50), basil, pomodoro and mozzarella cheese, simple and classic.
6) Minestrone with Chicken and Parma Ham ($8.50), served with a toasted crusty bread. Good.
7) Fritto Misto ($14.50), a combination of the Suppli (rice balls stuffed with beef ragu and mozzarella cheese), Calamari (deep fried squid rings served with spicy tomato sauce) and Pollo Fritto (breaded chicken tenders served with mustard sauce): Calamari was too rubbery, Suppli was not bad, Pollo Fritto was good.
8) Soffiato ($8.90), a warm dark chocolate souffle served alongside a scoop of cold chocolate chip ice cream. This was rich without being cloying.
9) Panna Cotta ($7.80): This was so smooth and creamy.
10) Ice cream, rum and raisin and chocolate chip flavours: good

I went there with a group of friends. It’s quiet on a Saturday evening. Besides the 16 of us, there was only another family inside the restaurant. We ordered 3 pizzas as our “starters”, and we each ordered our own pasta as our main. Their snacks in the menu doe not seem to be valued-for-money. It’s like $10 over dollars, but the quantity is little (we checked with the waiter on how big 1 serving is). As such, we decided to order pizzas as starters instead; at least they can fill the hungry stomach.
In my opinion, the pizzas were not something which I will go “wow” about. It’s thin crust pizzas, but it’s not as crispy as what I had in Spizza. The fillings were too little to my liking and it felt as if I was biting onto the crust immediately.
Next, we had our pasta. I wanted to order a cream-based pasta as I seldom eat a tomato-based pasta. Based on the description stated on the menu, I ordered the only pasta which was described as “cream sauce”. To my horror, my supposedly cream sauce pasta had become a tomato-based pasta! After a check with the waiter, he said that it was “tomato cream sauce”. I think it is very misleading to the patrons as they describe as cream sauce in the menu, and not TOMATO cream sauce. They are 2 different things altogether!
Knowing my preference over cream sauce pasta, my partner exchanged his carbonara pasta with me. The carbonara pasta was normal, nothing too great or too suck-y to comment about.
Before we left the restaurant, I saw those cakes at the display and they do look tasty! Maybe will be back to try their cakes next time!
