Robinson is a great place to visit if you are looking for household products like cutlery, dinnerware, bedlinen, especially true during its sale period when great bargains can be had.

But if you are shopping for women apparels and accessory, probably Takashimaya will be a better choice. Taka has a much wider variety of shoes, bags, and clothings. Furthermore its clothing brands are trendier.

For men, you will find many discounted office wear during its sale, like Goldlion...

For children, its toys and clothings offering are reasonable.

I like going Centrepoint Robinson because they often have toiletries and health supprements promotion. Even if they do not have, you can also pop over to nearby John Little for toiletries or to nearby Marks and Spencer for foodstuff (cookies, small bottle red wines etc).

Recently after their revamp, I went upstairs and find more beds/pillows/blankets than usual. But strange is that they do not have Tempur.

But I find the escalator confusing. And the lift seems to be in the wrong location, I wonder how they ensure no shoplifter just take the things and go down the lift?

Robinsons is a departmental store focusing on mid to higher end brands and products. While it used to have a wider range of variety, it has now raised its standards, and to focus on the higher end products, leaving the lower priced range to its sister store, John Little.

What separates Robinsons with the rest of the dept chain stores are the following: Women: Wide range of European fashion brands, accessories, shoes and bags

Men: Variety of men's wear, especially for its in-house shirts and European fabric material. Excellent for men to stock up their business shirts during Robinsons big sale.

Luggage and travel: With the new wing at Centrepoint, there's a wider range of Samsonite, Delsey luggage and travel bags. Note: John Little has better sale offers, though the brand names may not be as "famous"

I find the Kids section is now more limited in the range of products. There is also a lack of benches or a feeding room for babies and toddlers.

What sets it apart is the excellent staff. One of the staff offered to let me feed my baby in the staff canteen as there was no nursing room nor benches on the Kids & Toys section. I certainly wasn't expecting that, so that was a really nice gesture.
