1 Review for “Sakae Sushi (Eastpoint) ” -

We went for their teatime buffet and probably because of the location (most people probably went to the one at Tampines), or because of the day (Thursday), there were hardly any other customers at that timing.
But as they have the self-service ordering system, we did not have to worry that we couldn't get our desired sushi from the conveyer belt - noted that the served all our orders without fail - where the conveyer belt still had a fair amount served, but it seems that the raw stuff are missing probably to ensure their freshness.
We used to love their potato salad, but now because it is priced higher, and hence no longer part of the buffet offerings. But we found a new love : the corn sushi. They grilled the corn and slice out a piece and placed onto the rice. The sweet corn goes well with the sushi rice.
The buffet price includes 1 red plate, 1 pink plate, 1 hot udon, 1 dessert. Not exactly sashimi fans, we ordered the jellyfish and the lobster salad (both red plates) - but both kind of failed our expectation, as they were quite salty by our preference.
One thing I found, either with this outlet or now in general, is that their included hot udon is now in a small bowl. They must have realised that a lot of people can't finish the big bowl after getting so much sushi and sashimi.
We got a cup ice-cream as the dessert. Not a bad ending to our heavy teabreak.
