Despite seeing the tempting and delicious looking pictures of the food available at Sakura website, the whole view and variation of the actual thing wasn't as appetising.
I went to the branch at Toa Payoh and..frankly speaking, the variety seemed very little and looked kind of pathetic. I'm not sure if it was as such because it was at the end of the day during dinner time, or..otherwise. Yet, it was disappointing to note that not only was there little variety in the buffet, but also that the quality of the food did not seem up to the mark of being an "international cuisine" buffet.
They really do cater some variations of Japanese, Western and Chinese food, like sushi and mussels etc. However, the common foodfare like chicken wings and onion rings just did not attract me. I just felt that it was not enough to satisfy my tastebuds that were dying for an international buffet of a higher standard and a larger variation.
Priced at $24 for adults during dinner time, it felt a little steep and overpriced as well. If the food really looked like the ones on their website, I wouldn't mind paying that amount. But sadly, it wasn't.
Money was just not worthily paid for the meal. :(
