well being a typical singaporean who uses the BMW (Bus,Walk and MRT) to travel around, SBS is definitely the most common bus service provider that I take my rides on.
Basically, I would say that the bus captains' that i have met thus far have been quite polite and none have left me a bad impression, What's more that leaves me more upset would be the inconsistent frequency of arrival of buses. Though I understand that traffic conditions may be quite dynamic, but sometimes it is really quite upsetting to see either the bus too full to get up or two buses of the same number come together. In addition, some buses as Polarbear had said, are poorly maintained as well and at times u can see small roaches which is really quite a turn-off.
Therefore if SBS wanna jack up their fares in future, I really do hope that they can improve on their service standards.

Since I dun own a car, public transport to me is very important. Ever since they keep increasing their fare every year, my expectation for them is also getting higher and higher.
Since around my work place, I have to take SBS bus to work every weekeday. I ahve to say that I am quite happy with the bus conditions. However they can work on the bus frequencies, like the bus supposed to come in every 5 mins during peak hours but then one bus decided to come earlier, and the bus will be pretty empty. Then the next bus that came on time, will be damned packed as the waiting time for the bus is longer.
I do find sometimes the bus a bit dirty as well but then if everyone of us take good care of it, I think the bus will be cleaner and no need to wait for the cleaners to clean the buses.
I am quite happy with the IRIS service as now I will always use it to find out how long does it take the next bus to arrive to the bus stop. I does cut down my waiting time as well. However the sms service only limited to Singtel users oly so I cannot use it.
Only 1 request, stop asking to increase fare every year and buck up on the frequency and condition of the buses.

I hate this waiting time thing too. It's really bad especially when they don't increase the frequency during peak period like 5-8pm or before and after school hours.

SBS transit is one of the means of ways commuters travel around Singapore.I'm particularly displease with the recent hike in bus fare.I somewhat find it ridiculous cos the 2cents increase actually affects in the long run.I'm just perservering on till i get a car.
I hate to wait for bus especially when it's more then 15mins.It can really pissed me off. Though there's advertisement telling us to be kind to bus captain i find this hard to comprehend at times.Some drivers especially during bus lane timing can deliberately join the major traffic and whenever i'm late because of that i'll curse and swear under my breath.
It's not only the bus captains but nowadays i witness middleage people who are very selfish!They pay for a fare of one person and take up the whole seat.When the bus is crowded they pretend to fall asleep in order to remain in their comfort zone.
Many people are getting more and more inconsiderate recently and i hope there's a way to reduce the number to make our daily trip on the SBS more pleasant.
