1 Review for “SingPost (Singapore Post Centre) ” - Shopping

This is one of the iconic locations in the eastern side of Singapore, where places to hang is scarce nearby the Paya Lebar MRT. On a normal weekday, the place is mostly crowded with office white collars crawling around this place as there is nothing much but more and more industrial parks around this area. Food is pretty standard with a food court and some fast food chains around, a watson and a unity and no pharmacist on duty.
The SingPost is one of the largest or must I say, SingPost and SingPost centre is the HeadQuarters of all Post Related in Singapore. Facing right smack in front of the route from the MRT station with some small fountains in front, the wide entrance leads to a similar wide circular space. I am pretty confused as I entered this office as there are many counters and I ain't too sure which one to queue at. No reception just a board with all the services listed out and the respective counter. I was too lazy to read as such I just followed my hunch and went to the postal counter which is also one with the shortest queue. The aircon was a little warm for a sunny afternoon and at one spot of the queue, the spot lights was shining too directly and brightly at me that draws sweat out almost immediately. Lighting was dim, harsh and too warm making is quite so uncomfortable queuing. Matter of fact my half an hour wait saw a few people leaving the queue in a huff!
While the service I must say is pretty efficient and casual (though it should be professional, but I like it casual, it brings a little more human touch). The staff are friendly and knows what they are doing, not smiling and overly friendly yet they are helpful to find out for you the services they are unaware of and while postal services for registered items or packaging and payment stuffs were handed very quickly and professionally.
I was also surprised by the many memorabilia available for purchases. Stamps in all sorts of casing and beautiful designs, collector items, and even stamps that is designed based on some antiquity or memorable occasion that illustrated today's culture. There are also stuffs like piggy banks, bags, table weight and all other sort of stuffs available.
Service: 4/5 Location: 4/5 Space: 3.5/5 (Large space but not well organized. Seating area is only one bench) Atmosphere: 2.5/5 (Lighting used was too warm and directly on the queue, aircon not strong) Handicapped Friendly: 4/5 (Yes, ground floor with plenty of moving space but I do wonder how do they get into the queue)
Will I return: Yes
