1 Review for “Sinlee Chinese Cuisine ” - Restaurants

This restaurant, situated at Neil Road, is like a walking distance to the shops of Chinatown. Before it became a air-conditioned restaurant, they were just working their hats off at Tiong Bahru. Some corner store it might be during the old days, it sells one of the nicest dishes I’ve ever eaten though. I will always patronise their restaurant because my grandmother and grandfather’s birthday will be there annually. And the chef's my uncle's friend. That explains the annual visits.
So we ordered the standard dishes that my grandparents loved. The ones that really deserves mention were the chilli crabs, fishes, frog legs and some fried prawn thing. The chilli crab is super fresh and fantastic. Enough chilli was added to the crab to be cooked to the ultimate taste.
The fishes that we ordered were either the garouper (I think spell wrong. Lol.), some red fish and today, a fruit fish. The fruit fish’s meat was extremely soft and smooth, its like melting in your mouth. Fantastic. The the frog legs were cool. Actually they were not only frog legs, its actually the whole frog. Just tasty. Enough said for this frog.
The fried prawn thing was like any other appetizers. Just that its so tasty and crunchy that we order it almost everytime we go there. And dipping it with mayonnaise is even more stupendous. The prawn mixed with the paste was so tongue-pleasing.
The ambience was good, quiet and great staff service. Most of them speak chinese, as the the restaurant name is obvious to see, but they also do speak cantonese. So do go there and patronize the place. But please bring enough cash. Its seafood. =)
P.S - Unfortunately for the food that taste so good, I didn't whip up my camera fast enough before the food is gone. LOL.
