I visited this spa last month and i feel their facial is not up to standard.Seems like they are doing facial just for the sake of it as they don't seem to know how to do a facial properly. The sales consultant also tried to push for big packages. Recently i got to know that two directors of this spa had left earlier to set up another spa.Seems like this spa has been having a lot of internal problems. And now to know they actually threaten customers?I will definitely advise against my family and friends from going there!

My law firm serviced the customer Wiz talked about so we saw the email & it was really exactly how Wiz put it,'nasty and unprofessional'.Two other lawyers also voiced out bad encounters with this spa.

The service sucks!!I went for a full body massage recently but the therapist was lost in thought during the whole session.Although i mentioned that my left leg had been injured before so to have less pressure exerted there, the therapist totally ignored my instruction. And in a rush to finish the session, the therapist did not even massage my tummy area!!That is an area where my main concern is!
At the end of the session,a sales consultant kept pushing very hard for me to sign a package but i just insisted on leaving after such bad service.
When i mentioned my experience to my friends,i was shocked to learn that one of them had a much nastier experience. She had been pushed to buy a very big package @ $48 /session which is suppose to be more worth it than a small package of 10 sessions. But she later found out that their Orchard Hotel branch under the same name was selling a 10 2 package @$47 /session!And she recalled being told there was such a package when she had called The Cathay to enquire much earlier but yet she was not offered this at the point of sale by the Sales Manager of Cathay who was the one attending to her some more!
My friend naturally asked for a refund as she felt cheated but the management seemed unwilling. So she turned to the press for help. When a reporter called the spa about the issue,do you know what this spa did?It actually THREATEN TO SUE THE CUSTOMER!!!
Never in my life have i heard of a service industry which not only did not advocate good service,it takes to threatening customers if they express any dissatisfaction!! And mind you,i saw the threatening email myself and it was really rude and nasty, spoken like a rouge!Definitely not what a professional and upmarket spa would do.
In the end the spa refunded my friend the money but they took advantage of the situation to minus a 7% processing fee which works out to about $135.My friend had to pay $135 for 'bad service'(hah!) but she just took it as she did not want to waste anymore time and energy on this kind of company.
If anyone still wants to go try them out, please be very careful or else you could very well be the next customer they are threatening to sue.Good luck folks!
PS. I wonder if they will be threatening customers to sign packages next. There should be a minus five stars rating for this spa.
