One of the Better Pizza Deliveries

It was raining terribly so we decided to order in from Spizza and curl up on the couch in front of the telly.

We got the Combo B set, which consists of 2 pizzas, 1 pasta, 1 starter and 1 garlic bread at $64 nett.

    1) Quinta (a la carte price $22), tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, egg and black truffle sauce: Very yummy.

    2) Tara (usually $22), tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, egg, bacon and button mushrooms. This was good but not spectacular. The bacon was a little limp.

    3) Ravioli (usually $14), filled with spinach and ricotta in a tomato based sauce. It tasted surprisingly good.

I have tried Spizza both in the restaurant itself and via the home delivery a few times.

Definitely things taste better when just out of the oven. However, I think the delivery is also not bad. I ordered delivery for Mother's Day~And my mom liked it alot. As we all agreed, we'd prefer ordering from Spizza than others like Pizzahut and Canadian Pizza.

I have tried ordering delivery for the following:

Item Name: Adriano Item Description: Smoked Salmon With Onion Rings And Capers Item Price: $11 I love the smoked salmon...tasty~~woot! They come in big pieces too~

Item Name: Caligola Item Description: Crispy Calamari With “Pizzaiola” Sauce Item Price: $11 Yup quite nice, crispy outside, tender inside.

Item Name: Claudia Item Description: Tomato, Bell Peppers, Zucchini, Eggplants, Artichokes, Mushrooms My mom wanted something with more vegetables. She was satisfied with this pizza and enjoyed it.

Item Name: Juliana Item Description: Tomato, Mozzarella, Cooked Ham, Pineapple This is like our usual Hawaiian pizza. It's nice too~

Item Name: Lasagna Item Description: Traditional Beef Lasagna Item Price: $16 Quite nice too.

Item Name: Spaghetti & Penne Item Description: With Bolognese Item Price: $16 Nice...

The customer service staff answering the hotline are also friendly, patient and polite. They wld give recommendations and wait patiently for my decisions on the phone.

I was very happy to find out that Spizza does delivery islandwide. Their pizzas have been so well-praised by so many but I have yet to go to any of their outlets. So one fine day when we had to stay home, we rang them up. We chose the Olivia and the Ursula (over 20 pizzas all named after girls), each S$22.

Unfortunately they were a bit disappointing. The Ursula (description reads: Tomato, Mascarpone, Spinach, Smoked Salmon, Capers) had a very strong fishy smell when we opened the box. The smoked salmon had mostly been cooked through, so it released its "aromas". I could still eat it, but hubby nearly fainted at the smell.

The Olivia (Tomato, Mozzarella, Salami, Fresh Chili) was a bit bland, strangely. Probably one of the thinnest crust pizzas I've tried but something is missing tastewise. The spinach leaves (given in a separate plastic box) were for the Ursula pizza but I felt they belonged on the salami one better.

Perhaps, as with Artz Pizza, they taste better when eaten fresh out of the oven. But now I'm not sure I can convince hubby to even go near Spizza shops.
