It my mother's birthday, my brothers and I, 3 of us decided to buy a cake for our mother. After making a few choice, we decided to choose swensen ice-cream cake.
1 Blackforest cake ($40.00 per Kg) A thin layer of sponge cake at the bottom. Inside is the sticky chewy chocolate ice-cream. There is a layer of berries jam on top of the chocolate ice-cream follow by a thin layer of sponge cake on top with fresh cream. A layer of chocolate fudge around the cake. With some chocolate chips and berries for decoration.
I'm not too sure what berries they are using but it sweet and cold. The sticky chewy chocolate ice-cream was good. The chocolate is not too sweet or bitter. It just nice for all of us. Actually I don't really like to eat sponge cake but because swensen ice-cream cake sponge cake is in very thin layer. It good for me.
Overall the cake is not too bad. But, there is still other cakes which I feel good.
Total bill: $42.80 ($2.80 is for the 7% GST)
