Five fried wontans, eight wontans in the accompanying bowl of soup, five generous chunks of pai kut (pork ribs), and plenty of chye sim to go with the plate of noodles. All this for the princely sum of $3 in the heart of the CBD.
Office workers know a good deal when they see it, and this shows in the long snaking queues that start to form from 11 plus every morning. The auntie owner is a one-woman show, so be prepared to wait at least 10-15 minutes, but your patience will be well-rewarded when you finally get to tuck in your food.
I think one would be very hard pressed to find a better value recession lunch in town.
