I love the Old-fashioned decor and packaging of the cookies sold here, at the good ol' cookie museum. What I don’t really like about it is the fact, that the products are soooo expensive... I really hope they improve on this. That way they can attract more customers and therefore, business will take a turn for the better.
It's really nice to study at, but for people like me, who don't really enjoy those English-sort of cookies with "UNIQUE" (ahem, ahem) ingredients, then you might as well go to Marx/Max Brenner Chocolate cafe. So much Chocolate! (try the Sukcao there)
I think this place will be the best for people who like trying new things, new flavours, new origins. But while you really want to try some yummy food there, be prepared to fork out alot of $$$$

I was at esplanade to watch a play and had an hour to kill. On my friend's recommendation, we decided to stop by the Cookie Museum to purchase some cookies.
We were attended to by one of the staff - she patiently allowed us to try about 10 flavours of cookies, before we decided to get a tin each.
Some of the more unique flavours include nasi lemak cookies (really tastes like nasi lemak - taste the peanuts, then ikan billis and lastly this lingering coconut aftertaste). Apparently they have a limited edition Laksa Cookie, which they do once a year but you'll have to order way in advance. The cookies can be broadly classified into two kinds - the crispy kind and the buttery kind. Crispy kind includes the likes of Nasi Lemak, and buttery kind is like rose.
The tin that I brought back was the rose cookie - according to the staff, the cookie museum doesn't use any artificial flavouring. The rose taste and smell of the cookies are really strong, and since I like anything rose, this is my favourite. There were also rose petals embedded inside the cookie. The cookies are also low in sugar, great for those people who are watching their sugar intake.
However, there's always a price to pay for all these premium branded cookies - a tin of rose petal cookes will set you back $32 , and prices go up to about $45 for gold leaf cookies.
I'm sorry to hear that Catherine had such bad service from them. The server was really patient and helpful, and at the end of our cookie tasting session, she even got us a glass of fruit tea. No prizes for guessing that all these hidden costs are already factored into the tin of cookies that I got.

Hi, This is regarding one of your tenants, The Cookie Museum. I will be giving similar feedback to other asscoiates regarding this matter. But as the esplanade management, I thought it would be apt that you are informed about this as well, because it directly affects the image of the esplanade and tourists' experience at this iconic location.
I visited The Cookie Museum on 3rd February 08 (Sun) at about 3.30pm. I brought 5 children & 3 adults with me to The Cookie Museum AFTER a photoshoot.
I clarified BEFORE entering: (1)Can i bring children in (2) I'd like to get the kids some cookies & tea, since they are dressed, can I also take some pictures of them having fun? (3) Are we too big a group?
I was told (1) children allowed (2) I can take their pictures of course, provided I'm not snapping pictures of their interior and (3) So long as we don't share seats, whoever can fit can enter.
We were all excited to visit that place. We were served the menu but a waitress insisted I order a MINIMUM order because her boss is watching us through the many CCTVs around now and that I AM TAKING UP THEIR PLACE. I am a customer too. Nonetheless, I oredered 1 pot of tea and 1 jar of cookies for the children, 2 pots of tea for the adults.
Within minutes, a waitress came by and say we have to stop taking pictures because I AM USING THEIR VENUE AS A PLACE FOR PHOTOSHOOT. They shouldn't assume this because come to think of it, I can bring the kids anywhere for a break, they can also have ice-cream or cookies elsewhere. Just because I wanted the group of tired people to have a comfortable venue to rest in, doesn't mean I am using their venue as a photoshoot. I am spending money there, it is only a matter of fact I hope these dressed-up kids can also be snapped in their excited times.
Nonetheless, I agreed whatever the waitress requested. But within minutes, she requested we stop taking pictures of the children, and REQUESTED OUR PHOTOS BE DELETED. Whoever she is, or her boss is, she has no right whatsoever to make requests like that. To a paying customer!
I was very upset. But held my peace. I told her alright. About a minute later, she came again and said "I'm afraid you have to leave within 10minutes because I already have a reservation for this particular table because the customers will know if i change them to other tables."
Please, enough said, differential treatments for same paying customers. The parents of the kids were very upset and never wanted to return to esplanade again. It was their first visit too. They're not locals.
I paid about S$120 for just 10minutes of unrest and rude "service". My point is, (1) if you have no intention of holding us there, don't bring us in in the first place. (2) Why bring us in then make requests upon requests? (3) Why made us order a minimum order of S$120 for cookies and tea then tell us we have to leave in 10minutes? (4) To me, and to everyone who witnessed this, The Cookie Museum is an unfriendly tenant who was trying to make money out of us then chase us out.
I have so much displeasure about this. Please do something about it. This is one of the worst ethics I've experienced in the world. Unbelievably greedy way of making money.
And like I said earlier on, I will be giving the same feedback to associates about this. So please give me a reply on this matter.

YOu should write to their management direct and ask for explaination. Sigh..... should bring the kids to next door max bernners for chocolate instead.

Thanks for your replies. I didn't think of speaking to the "boss" although the parents all suggested that. Perhaps it was because the waitress said everything in the name of her "boss".
