1 Review for “The Quarters (Icon Village) ” - Restaurants
17
24 Nov 2014 (Mon) Raining afternoon, heavy rain and howling wind and i popped over The Quarters with my friend Robert.
Robert and i were searching the place as if we were blind. We spend like fifteen minutes looking for it. I can tell that Robert is such a patient guy, i was already going to give up after encircling the icon village. Totally enjoy the filming interview with Robert and i do not need to worry on direction after i told him my blog will only have three key points (inspiration, best dish and note).
Here’s a direction guide.. After Tanjong Pagar Mrt exit A, turn left and walk 2 minutes, you will see Icon Village (the building name) from the zebra crossing. When you walk in, turn left to the new extension area.
The place looked like a cut out from a movie and we tried a few interesting selections on the menu.
1) Durian Creme Brulee
2) Refreshing drink callled Quarternade, if you like a kick of sour taste from the Lemon. Ingredients: Dill, Mint, Lemon, Love
Dill, mint, lemon i know, Love? DeMing (Founder) shared with me an element of love is needed to make the Quarterade.
3) Fries with Salted Egg Mayo Dip - The Quarters created the salted egg fries where salted eggs were used to create the mayonnaise and eyoli. Indeed highlighting the multi-cultural diversity since the founding of Singapore till today where Singaporeans have influences from the different ethnic quarters of Singapore.
The Quarters is about celebrating Singapore’s cuisine from a modern perspective.
