1 Review for “The Soup Spoon (Bugis Junction) ” - Restaurants
424
I went to soup spoon for a quick and healthy dinner last week and was glad to find the queue almost non existent.
I simply love the various types of broths and frankly I find their soup full of goodness with a good spread of vegetables and lean meat. As I'm heading for the gym later, I opt for a light chicken based broth which is called TOKYO CHICKEN STEW.... added a half sandwich and ice-tea to complete my meal, costing me altogether ($12.90).
The portion is great , bowl is pretty huge and the stew is full of good stuffs. Love the onions, carrots and all sorts of other veg that is put into it and also the lean chicken cubes.. simply perfect, healthy, light yet nourishing. The half teriyaki chicken sandwich is of a pretty reliable portion, though halved, its still pretty filling. Splash it all down with some good old iced lemon tea that is refreshing and farmiliar...
I love the selection of broths available, the sandwiches are also packed with a combination of healthy and nourishing goodness and the portion makes me feel that my money is well spent. Also love the calories indication as well as vegetarian options on certain stews such as the minestrone.
Do not like the seats as they feel like its in the middle of nowhere and usually during some weekends, its really difficult to get a seat as there are many air hoggers (Hoggers that are not diners and eats air that takes up seat space). I hope to also enjoy dessert here :)
Overall, the price is okay, the food is good and healthy and if you would like to pack home, they have ready packed soup for your to take away... love the packing... great thinking :)
