Soup spoon has always been a big hit with the office ladies as its supposedly low in calories and a fulfilling lunch with loads of nutrition all in one bowl. Along with my other female colleagues, we decided to take our chances at this outlet which is always crowded with long queues. Being crowded and having long queues is 2 different things here. There were days when there is quite a few seats vacant however the queue for purchase is really long, so while we were there, because we are pretty late for lunch, we got seats and the queue was okay passable.

The service is quick. Tell them what soup you want and the size and if you would like to make it a set. Soup is served with a toasted bun and if its a set, you could order your other half either half sandwich or something else and a drink which i chose ice lemon tea. Make payment, collect your location number and you are ready to seat down. Oh yar. cutlery and pepper is to be collected by yourself near to the counter.

I ordered a french onion soup because i know its hard to come by a good one. The onion soup is thick and sweet, browned with a good dose of sauteed onions caramelized to form that lovely mushy taste. Ordered a roast beef half sandwich which ain't too shabby. Though it says half, but with the bowl of soup is a complete meal that could last me my hard days work in the afternoon.

Service i should say is fast and choice of soups on the menu is good. Love the prepacked takeaway soup bags that looked so wholesome. Price is reasonable and the soups are really well made. I tried my colleagues minestrone which is tangy and full of ingredients as well as the tokyo chicken which is a clear soup that is flavourful and colourful.

    Food quality: 4/5 Variety: 3/5 Ambiance: 3.5/5 Service: 3.5/5 Price: 3.5/5

    Will I return: YES

Will I bring my friends: YES
