The Tavern Pub & Restaurant

For those who frequent River valley road would not miss this restaurant, it has a unique decor with old beer drums.

Been there for weekend lunches with friends. Also a few times for dinners during the workweek with colleagues. Mr. Poh, the owner of the restaurant, is always there to greet and to chat a little with the customers. For those regular customers, Mr. Poh will always sit down and share a nice bottle of wine together with them. They do have a room filled with great collection of wine.

Currently they are having a 1-for-1 promotion! In most restaurants, they will use the cheaper ingredient or lesser quantity to cover the costs but in this restaurant, they don’t cut corners, they will serve you the same as if you are paying the full price for it. Fresh & warm bread are being served once you have ordered and its free but please just take 1 even though its free flow cos you want to have some space for the delicious food.

The servers are both very well-trained and had been in the restaurant for many years. They actually remembered me on my 2nd visit. (This was 1 week apart). They do take the effort to clean your table with a brush before serving the next dish, meaning that we use different cutlery for different course of the meal. Yup, prime & proper dinning.

My favorite dishes are the Raclette Cheese and Australian Grain-fed Rib-Eye Steak! Must be medium rare for me.

Please always leave a space for dessert, there is this special one named Coupe Nesselrode which looks like ‘yee mee’ and don’t missed out the Home made Tiramisu Cake.

For the price! For the sincerity! This is a place not to be missed!
