Been to Timbre (Substation) for a couple of times. An excellent place to chill and hang out with friends. The local live band plays very good music as well. You can actually write your song dedication on paper or servettes requested from the waiters and hear the songs you like
Timbre is famous for their thin crust pizza and they offer a wide selection of toppings. They also have main courses that are both filling and tasty. My personal favourite is their 'Bangers and Mash'. Quality sausages and smooth creamy mashed potatoes.

Who cares about the service when you can have a rocking good time with the live bands and kick-assing-lecious pizza and thirst quenching beer.
The place feels nicely hidden from all the rush of Singaporean life. They have other food on the menu, but never really bothered, the pizza will keep you wanting more.
They have a nice assortment of choices for the toppings, and are considered enough to have a "half-and-half" pizza. As the name suggest, you can opt for two separate half of toppings for one pizza.
The bands they cover a lot of popular songs that you can bob your head to or simply let out the "closet-singer" in you, having beer as a convenient excuse for your outburst in croaking.
Oh, not recommended on weekends though, too crowded lah.

Timbre sells really delicious thin-crust pizza that makes me salivate at the mere thought of it! Coupled with beer and great music from local bands, it is the perfect hang-out on a relaxed friday day with your friends.
The place can get pretty crowded on weekends though, and since most are there to chill and enjoy the music, you really shouldn't be banking on waiting for the customers to leave so you can get a place. Try to reach there early, or an alternative is to visit their other branch at The Arts House, by the Singapore River.
I like the idea of supporting local bands too, so if you're like-minded or if you simply enjoy good music, Timbre can be the next place to visit for that next weekend chill-out of yours!
