True Yoga

According to their website, True Yoga is in the same group as the True Spa that had so many bad reviews on Yebber. However, me and my friends have yet to experience those bad ones that the others had on True Spa. Just warned my friends not to sign up for any plans with True Spa, in case of being promoted by True Yoga.

I am just a beginner with Yoga, so I always go to their Gentle Yoga class which have many slots, from the morning 7am slot (leaving me just in time for work) to the lunch break (around 12.15pm) to the after-work (7pm or later). For the morning slots, I can just walk-in as the class is usually just half full (almost always ladies only). I was told that the lunch-break slot is also walk-in. But the 7pm slots is definitely reservation-required and must be 2 days in advance, and I meant reserve in the morning of the 2 days in advance, because by 11am, it would be all full.

However, I am very irritated by their sales / system.

I paid for a 1-yr single-session-per-week plan and was told I could come for 2 times a week despite the plan specifying single session. It made me worried that one of those 2nd-time of the week visits will get be barred at any time the receptionist decide to.

They have member cards and need time to make it for me. However, when I tried to ask for my card, they claim that my membership was transferred according to the system. I called their admin person who handled my plan payment (the sales person was from the Orchard outlet, so I concluded it would be no use to call her), and I was asked to provide a copy of my passport showing my travel period, as I told her I only made a request to delay my starting of plan by one month and not to transfer to anyone. Then she didn’t call me at all again. After repeat calls (with replies that she is away or at meeting) and leaving messages, I still get no reply. And after repeatedly asking the receptionist whether my member card is ready, I finally got it. Just can’t be bother to chase the admin person again. So that later I got to make sure that my 12 months ended as per what I had instructed (to delay by 1 month).

Another thing they surprise me was that there was one week I actually went for 3 sessions, 2 are walk-ins and 1 is reservation-required, and I didn’t get rejected at all. Isn’t that very stupid of them??

I was told that their Orchard branch has steambath and gym facilities (not sure how the price differs), but not the Raffles branch that I go. But the Orchard branch is out of the way for me, so I only chose the 1-branch plan.

Anyway, they have many types of yoga, even Hot Yoga. So it is not a bad choice.
