As there has been many reviews by fellow yebbers on the food already, I shall not focus on food again. I’ve been to this waraku branch a few times and find it to be a good place for gathering with friends as they have big tables for around 6 to 8 people. However, for tables for 2, the tables tend to be abit close to each other and not so conducive for private conversations. To me, a plus point about their service is the reservations. I had made a reservation but me and my dining companions were all late. We called ahead to let them know we would be late. By the time we arrived, we were more than half an hour late, and did not expect them to keep the table for us. However, they did, and we breezed in although there was a line outside. Kudos to them for that.

i like the name WARAKU.... if you say it slow with a singaporean slang, it kinda sounds like Wah... La... Good!!!. I strongly feel that the food is indeed.. WAH LAU Eh.. Good! and the View is Wah Lau Eh.... Damn Good! I mean in Singapore, you can only find a handful of places with a mountain and water view yar!
I love the lunchtime set meals they offer... Dual Minis... You can taste 2 main dishes however they come in mini sizes so its like half of each main dish ordered. The prices are reasonable, however sits hard to get. So do make sure you be there early or call for a reservation and most importantly, if you are coming in groups, make sure all is present if not do the "She's in the toilet" trick.... Especially during dinner time.
I had many different stuffs to eat however my favourites will be:
1) Pizza - Nice and crispy, not too filling and loads of toppings
2) Beef Hot Pot - This is a big order especially when you order the set... Beef sooo Sweet I'm afraid my sweet tooth might fall out...
3) Sashimi - If everything in the menu fails to attract you, always go for the regular favourites. Raw fish is ALWAYs Yummy!
4) Sake - Reasonbly priced and good starter for amature drinkers like me
5) Sashimi Salad - Best for both gluttons and dieters alike.... Healthy, Juicy and Refreshing
6) Mochi - The mochis are so nice and creamy.... The wierd thing is... they never get stuck on my teeth like others do...... Funny Thing.
Its THE Place to go for if you wanna eat till you drop or have a quick high tea with your friends. Great variety of selections and flexibility.. A must visit place for all your overseas pals.... Especially with a great view like the clarke quay river....

If you want to eat at this popular Japanese restaurant during peak hours in the weekends, make a reservation.
Kid friendly and they even give a small toy to your little ones to quiet them down (so the adults can enjoy their meal).
I happen to walk in during one lunch weekday a few weeks back but the waiters were all busy with their own things. They didn't even bother asking me for a reservation name. I sat myself down and no one bothered me until my friends arrived. Seems like a bit disorganised there, maybe you should annouce your presence to the waiters.
Generally, the food is average (ordered the eel rice and the sushi platter), more pricey than Sushi Tei with about the same quality, albeit a larger portion. Then again, food is not about quantity but quality, right?
The view from the window side is OK, facing the greenishly looking Singapore River. I'm not sure if that's 'clean'. But at night, it's not bad for a romantic dinner except the restaurant does not have that sort of ambience.
Eat around, there are better quality Japanese restaurant for same cost or even less, as in downstairs in street level facing the river.
It's an average restaurant with a family oreinted touch. Can't say much, either good or bad.
