YU KEE DUCK RICE (Liang Seah Street)

If you enjoy duck rice as much as I do then you must try Yu Kee's Duck Rice.... Its the rich caramelized sauce that made the difference. Flavorful and extremely unforgettable that goes well drizzled atop the soft and tender deboned duck and on the rice.

There are many different ways of eating this braised duck, teochew styled.... You can have in with rice or a bowl of soupy kway chup, otherwise with some gooey porridge and with noodles. I personally enjoy the duck kway teow. Its a little dry yet with loads of duck sauce is simply perfect to ease away any kind of tummy aches. You would love the small bowl of soup that came with every meal, which is slightly herbal in taste and yummy. Other side dishes includes braised eggs, internal organs, braised peanuts and salted veg for $1 for a side plate.

Service is fast at the stall and portion is pretty good for one. There are many seats available by the road side while inside the coffee shop because its super tiny, only a table for squeezy 6. Seat outside and feel the cars zooming by your back is pretty exhilarating for me, yet all for good food. Avoid lunch times as there could be no space for you as the tables and chairs and tiny, and place is rather tight.

What will Singaporeans' do for yummy food.. The Char Kway Teow and mixed veg stalls in the same coffee shop is quite nice too but nothing beats the duck rice.
