WHAT IS THOUGHTS TALK?
Let's take a moment to appreciate the very life we live!

It seemed like every few years a major disaster will occur somewhere nearby. Yes you hear me right, with globalisation and technological advancements, land and distance is no longer a barrier. We are nearer to the other countries then we once thought. A nuclear melt down at Fukushima or even the recent >300Kph Typhoon that hit the Philippines killing thousands and leaving more homeless, stranded and in grief. We should stop to think twice before we start grumbling about the nitty gritty everyday things of slow moving trains and crowding of shopping malls yet appreciate this very breath we have in our lungs and how close and safe our family and loved ones are. Have we forgotten the real key to happiness?

Hacking... Is it the new age terrorism?

Hacking... Is it the new age terrorism?
A new fear has arises, since the hacking of the Sun Ho's webpage that sparkled attention to our little red dot, many of Singapore's iconic webpages has also been hacked. With the increased reliance on computers in all forms, even as an implant in the brain, are we more and more vulnerable to large scale terrorism that does not even requires the physical use of the weapon.

A large scale hacking can cause the entire country to shut down, not the mention that chip in your brain implants. Technology advancements, have we corrupted the good that it was suppose to bring?

Win a car by standing with your palm on it for a couple of days....
The Subaru Challenge is kinda a legend, the rules are simple, just keep you palm on the car for as long as you can, as long as your palm does not leave the car while you brave the storms and didn't pass out under the HOT HOT SUN, you are IN TO WIN a Brand New Subaru Car. Head on down to Ngee Ann City and you can see the eager contestants melting under the pressure and the extreme weather conditions, at the end of it, IS IT WORTH IT?

To help or not to help?

To help or not to help?
I guess its not an uncommon sight of elderly offering to sell you a few packets of tissues for a dollar to pursue of independence and for survival. Once I was at tiong bahru market and was being approached 4 times by 4 different sellers during my 20 mins meal time. Its decent work for the elderly to make a proper living however there are so many of them and by buying from them we are kinda encouraging more elderly to go into this form of 'business'. I do meet some who insist you must buy from them and are adamant of you paying the full $1 instead of a few coins without the tissue which left a pretty nasty after taste in my mouth. The is a social issue which may turn nasty if we don't start providing proper jobs for these still strong elderly.

So.. seriously, to buy or not to buy?

          Have you been STOMPING?

          Have you been STOMPING?
I was on board a bus & i spot a pissed off auntie 2 seats infront rattling about how angry she was with this man sitting behind me and in between her angry thrust of words, the guy directly in front of me was taking her video of her rantings with his iphone pretty close up, yet I'm not sure if she notices that or not but everyone behind that iphone is aware of the video taking. I am quite sure that the video will most likely end up on stomp by the time i reach my office. Perhaps spreading a video on everyday happenings as a form of online journalism might sound heroic, yet the one that was stomped at might not feel the same. Well I believe everyone has a moment of Folly and with this possibility that one wrong step might end you up being virally judged globally online with platforms like STOMP is too scary and pressurizing socially. Should we think of the possible repercussions before we send our latest video online!
